Merida’s AANY Arte a Mano show

There is a FABULOUS annual Arts n Crafts Show and sale that occurs here in Merida.
It is the AANY Arte a Mano show.
AANY is the founding/organizing group, aka Amigos de Artistas/Artesanos Nuevos de Yucatan.
They scour the Yucatan seeking out the absolute finest crafts people and artisans, and bring them together for a show and sale.  The group also mentors these artists to help them refine their product, and learn about presentation, pricing, and marketing.  It is a win win situation.  Especially for the shoppers.   The absolute best selection of arts and artesania all brought together in one place.
Well strap on your shopping shoes because the sale is about to happen again.
Mark your calendars for March 24 and 25.

Hello Debi, I apologize for contacting you through this comments section (I wasn't sure how to email you directly!). I am currently a student living in New York, USA, and will be graduating with a graduate degree this semester. I am looking for a change in my life and have heard wonderful things about Merida Mexico. Please, if you do not mind taking the time to write, would you advise me of how long and difficult of a process it is to move to Merida? Also, is it best to find a job there before moving, or is it fairly simple to find a job once there? I am bilingual and am intermediate-level in Spanish. If it is no hassle for you, please write me at with any suggestions. Your help will be sincerely appreciated. Thank you and kind regards, Faina

Well, darn it. We fly home on the 24th. We always seem to miss the good stuff by a day or two.
