A Writers Gathering in Merida

When I first received the invitation below I sent it to Trash.  I’m not a Writer, sure I blog, but that’s not like writing.  Or so I thought!   Well I’ve seen the error of my ways, and now concede that yes, in fact I do write!

All Writers are invited to attend this event.
Don’t be left out if, like me, you don’t really consider yourself a Writer.
““““““““““““““““““““““““““`

Please plan to attend
Writers Gathering
at the
Merida English Library
… bringing together people who write
and live in Merida, and the Yucatan
Friday, October 12th , 2012
7.00 to 9.00 pm
Your hosts: Grant Spradling & Lorna-Gail Dallin
will be serving some wine and putting cheese on crackers
and then perhaps we writers will explore …
• What we might do for ourselves ….like
• Getting together to see how we may assist one another
• Raising the profile of our creative talents in Merida
• How about a book signing event in January … at the Library?
• How about an Open Mic event for writers?
• What do we want to do as a community of writers?
OR …
… have a good old fashioned “Wine & Cheese” at which
we meet interesting and creative people !
All writers welcome and expected: bloggers, poets, travel
& week-end, & just for fun writers, editors, proof readers,
printers, ….
