A Good Beginning

Whilst visiting family and friends recently we were able to start our trip with very special people.

Tom and Gary have been friends since as best we can recollect about 1972.  They share the same birth date, although different birth years.  At some point shortly after their meeting they became besties!   And even though long periods of time pass between visits, it is always as if no time has elapsed.   We’ve been with Gary through several girlfriends, corvettes, and work changes.

Gary has now settled in with his beautiful wife Kathryn and all seems right with the world.

We have spent many a good time with the whole family at either the parental home or aboard the parental boat, the Immaculate Contraption.

After 23 years the Immaculate Contraption was sold and Gary and Kathryn purchased the GoldFish.

So how did we start our trip…Gary and Kathryn picked us up at the airport and transported us to the parental home where we spent the night before embarking on a boat trip down the Potomac River from Occoquan VA to Colonial Beach VA, about a 3 hour trip.  Don’t go getting carried away, this was aboard the Goldfish, NOT the Minnow.

We also celebrated Gary’s mom Marion’s birthday, as well as Tom and Gary’s shared birthday.
