This is Henry. I found him on the street near my house. He was trying to eat an old dry chicken bone. This happened on Thursday, 31 March 2016.
Henry has discoverd people, and he has found he likes them very much. He has taken to attention and caring very well. He loves to be with you, and on you, and near you. He purrs so loudly and happily, makes your heart quiver. He loves to play, and chase things, and carry things, he sometimes even brings things back for you.
Henry has no fear of our dogs and would readily play with them if allowed. Unfortunately 2 of our dogs can not be trusted with a small animal. Henry also would readily play with our 19 year old cat, unfortunately he knocks Henry for loop and growls and snarls menacingly.
Henry goes to the vet on Monday, 4 April. He will get a health checkup and be esterilized, and hopefully his first shots. Henry seems to be about 3 months old.
Henry needs a home. He needs someone that will appreciate his desire to snuggle and cuddle. He needs to be an inside cat, he is way to special to be put at risk out in the cruel hard world.

Henry is adorable. And now that both my kitties have died of old age, I’d love to adopt him. But sadly, being partly in Mexico and partly in Boston, I just can’t at this stage.
But thanks for trying to find him a good home; I’m sure you’ll be successful.

sorry to hear about your kitties, always tough losing them. I am feeling loss today, Henry went to his new home yesterday.

Henry is a cutie, we have not yet moved Merida wish we were there so we could help out. We are coming in Seteptember for a vacation to explore the possibility of retiring in Merida. Would you be so kind to email me tips on what to do and if Expats have meetings where and when. Any information would be appreciated.

go to the merida english library, they have a fb page and a web page. and there is an expat meetup first friday of the month at fiesta american, about 7:30 I think. oh, and check out the international womens club, also with fb page and webpage.
He is adorable and a very lucky kitty to have been found by you. Hope he finds a forever home soon!

We have a ‘Henry’ too, but her name is Sami because she’s salmon coloured like Iggy. She’s adopted Ric and his studio and has the same mannerisms as Henry – she too is a love bug. We had her fixed (turned out she was in the early stages of a pregnancy so even better – the vet said every pregnancy takes 2 years off their life) and gave her her shots etc. She lives in the warehouse lot across from the studio but runs over to be fed and for some love and affection. I think if everyone got one cat on their street spayed/neutered etc, it would sure help. Good luck with Henry – he seems a sweetie.
congrats, on the studio cat, how does ig like kitty? I agree about TNR of street cats, and with 200p for males, and 300p for females, why aren’t we doing more?
Hi Debi, Henry is adorable and under any other circumstances, I would take him in a heart beat, but I am at:
a) kitty saturation point. . . 11 and b) heading back to Canada April 26th. I am pushing the envelope as it is with the couple who will be staying at my place to look after the livestock.
I hope you find a good home for him. Come to think of it, a friend of mine lost one of her kitties very recently to a road accident, I will forward your email to her to see if she might be interested.

oh my gosh bonnie, you are an angel, and i completely understand why you can’t take any more. thank you for all you do for the animals.
that first pic of henry is awesome. how i wish i could give him a home but we live in japan-can’t go all the way to mexico to pick up a cat, especially since pets are not allowed in our complex. we head back to the u.s. in july after having lived here for almost 5 years. one of the first things we’ll do is get a cat and a “jackie” a jack russell terrier.

well teresa, I’d say go to a shelter and let a dog pick you rather say you want a breed. but that’s just me being snarky, sorry. maybe they’ll have a jackie at the shelter, they tend to be more than most peopke can deal with, all that energy. I’m sure wherever you get your doggie it will be a lucky pup.

we had a jack for 10 years before moving here. he lived to be almost 17 with his original owners-we had acquired him during a divorce and gave him back before coming to japan.
there are jack russell rescues centers all over the states. we will go to one of those to hopefully have a “jackie” pick us for her forever home. my husband says she will be his personal trainer as in when he walks her she’ll hopefully pull. as you know, the males stop everywhere to mark their territory.
looking forward to reading a bout when you find henry a h ome.
